The Lanning Square Court site is a neglected, high priority redevelopment site for the Camden Redevelopment Agency. As designated redeveloper of Block 185, Urban Development Partners plans to build an $18 million, 64-unit, mixed-income multifamily tax credit project to jumpstart residential development in the neighborhood. With community input, the design will resemble townhouses with a modern look and historic patterns to blend with the community existing housing stock. The development site is a few short blocks to several major employers and designations including Cooper Medical School, Cooper University Hospital, Philadelphia 76ers Training Complex, Rutgers University campus and the downtown Camden waterfront. The site is also a five-minute walk to the River Line light rail, Walter Rand Transportation Center, and PATCO Broadway Street train station to Philadelphia. The site also boasts a less than a 10-minute drive via car, and 15-minute via public transportation to downtown Center City Philadelphia.
